Yep, so I get the club to hip, what happens after that.

Excellent drill… and the instruction is explicit in that it should be done only to hip height… work great IMO.

That’s exactlly my problem and my Pro told me to do the same drill … its a keeper.

Hands are pre-set by grip if body rotates properly hands and forearms work almost as shown

I’m a +1 who has been working a lot on my takeaway this summer due to somehow getting in the habit of rolling over to much at the takeaway. Just my 2 cents, good drill though! It elminates the hands taking over and manipulating the takeaway.

While I like the drill a lot. I feel it should be stressed to newer players that at a certain point to keep the clubhead square the wrists need to hinge up and down properly. If you stay to stiff and “connected” too long. You’ll have that head closed during the takeaway.
